Life Church St. Peters

is a thriving, Spirit-filled, multigenerational church community.
Our vision is simple: love God, love people, live with purpose.

We are passionate about helping people connect deeply with God and each other. Our Sunday meetings include dynamic worship and devotion to God’s Word, with a focus on encountering God’s presence, love, and power in a relaxed and welcoming environment. We believe God created each of us with a unique purpose, and our goal is for us all to become established, equipped, and empowered to change the world with the love of Jesus.

Our Core Values

Worship Wholeheartedly

We gather as a multi-generational, spiritually-connected community to encounter God’s presence and worship him.

Love Generously

We love as God loves us, welcoming every person and empowering each other to live out God’s unique purpose for us.

Serve With Humility

We work in cooperation with other churches and each other, giving generously of our time, talents, and treasure for the glory of God’s Kingdom.

Live With Power

We trust in the Word of God, pray confidently in the name of Jesus, and find hope & healing in the power of the Holy Spirit.

What We Believe

Have questions? Our team would love to talk with you!

WORD OF GOD

The sole basis for our beliefs is the Bible, which is uniquely God-inspired, without error, and the final authority on all matters on which it speaks. We find our identity in Christ and see ourselves and others the way God sees us as revealed in His Word.

SALVATION

Salvation comes only through God’s grace – not human effort – and must be received personally by repentance and faith. Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. We love Jesus and deeply desire a personal relationship with Him.

TRINITY

As the Bible teaches, there is one God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – each possessing all the attributes of deity.

HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit draws people to Christ and indwells the believer to live a victorious Christian life. We believe in and depend on the power of the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and empower us in the everyday life. We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are very much for the present day and that supernatural miracles and healing are a matter of course for believers in an active and involved God.

Our Story

Can These Dry Bones Live?

After many years of living away from the St. Louis area, Tom & Randi Kyle returned in 2007 to find many of their formally faith-filled, Holy Spirit-led friends dry and hurt from church life and church people. While Tom and Randi were seeking the Lord for their own healing, restoration and church hurt, they felt the Lord direct them to Ezekiel 37 and the story of The Valley of Dry Bones with the question, “Can these bones live?”

Encounter Nights Begin

Out of that question came the start of a small, once-a-week meeting (“Encounter”) on Friday nights with others where the sole purpose was to worship and linger in God’s presence, encountering Jesus. Lives were impacted again by the joy and rejuvenation of the Holy Spirit which spilled out into the St. Peters area. The Encounter group met together for a couple of years and many began asking about starting a church.

Life Church Begins

In Ezekiel 47, the river flowing from the Temple brought life wherever it went. That story became of foundation of Life Church. The Kyles strongly felt directed by God to "facilitate a place for people to come and encounter Jesus afresh."

On September 15, 2013, Life Church began meeting on Sunday mornings. The primary focus was on our times of worship and for discouraged and disappointed people to step into the river of God to find new life.

Where We Are Today

After many years, the focus remains the same: encountering Jesus to bring life to the broken and to get healed so we can bring that life to others.

What to Expect

FAQs

What Is the Format?

Worship is central to our Sunday gathering. The first hour or so will be a time of worship. You can feel free to stand or sit. There may be some words from various people to bring a prophecy or encouragement. Then after announcements, there will be a teaching. We wrap up around 11:30am.

What Should I Wear?

We are a casual church. Jeans and comfy shoes or your Sunday best. It all works! We are most interested in getting to know you.

What Time Should I Arrive?

The main meeting starts at 9:30am. We have coffee in the lobby starting at 9:00am and there is prayer starting at 8:30am. We do recommend you arrive by 9:15am to find a seat and meet a few folks in the lobby.

What About Kids?

We love kids! They are welcome to be in the meeting or they can join our LifeKids class. LifeKids serves families and children from birth through 5th grade. Littles can get lots of snuggles in the nursery while grade school kids have a teaching, snack, and playtime. LifeKids check in starts at 9:15 and kids get picked up after the service.

What Is the Best Way To Get Plugged In?

When you arrive let one of the door greeters know you are a new guest. They can introduce you to some folks and show you to the Connect Desk. The Connect Desk at the back of the lobby has information on all of the ministries and groups happening in the church. You can also scan the QR code to download the church app. On the app or the website you can see all of the events on the calendar. There is a little something for everyone.
